On 15th May 2007 at Korea, Reigncom Ltd. (President Yang Deok-Joon, Kim Hyeok-Gyoon) announced a new corporation 'Reigncom USA' will be found in USA with an initial investment of USD $1 million.

 

In support of its worldwide operation, ReignCom USA will have access to a global fund of USD $64 million as part of the Korean company latest investment plan. The new company will engage not only in sale and service of current iriver brand DAPs, but also in hardware and software R&D including total entertainments integration from music service to hardware support. It is the company's hopes that the new company will better adapt to the newer DAPs' trend and technology demanded by the global market and adjusts the company's oversea policy accordingly. The newly formed ReignCom USA will play an important role in the company future R&D on new DAPs by joining force with the Korean R&D team.

 

To facilitate ReignCom USA role in USA, the current North American regional office iriver America will be integrated into the new company with the possibility that some department being disbanded in order to improve the company's efficiency.

 

As ReignCom president Kim Hyeok-Gyoon said, the investment of ReignCom USA can be seen as a strong move for the iriver brand to reinforce and reintroduce itself as a major player to the North American portable entertainment market .
