Konstrukcja z S-Logic i ULE, czyli pochyleniem przetworników i płytką z otworami chyba daje małe pole do popisu.

Btw. Rafacio, jesteś przekonany co do zbycia Edition Eleven? One nie mają sobie równych przecież...

Są znakomite moim zdaniem. Gdyby zaszła taka potrzeba to mógłbym z nimi jednymi zostać.

W ubiegłum roku trafiły do mnie HFI-200.

Signature Master Aftermarket Pads

Everything below is for the Signature Master. I haven't tried any of these on the Pulse/Natural/X just yet, but given the design similarities it's probably a good bet that the sound changes will be similar. It goes without saying, but this is all just my opinion. YMMV if you decide to try any of these pads as your experience may differ. More people need to give their pad experiences before we can get to a consensus on the best pads for the Masters, or the Signature line in general.

First off, let's start with the Stock Pads:

Stock Leather: There's something special with the stock pads. They seem to put out what I can only describe as a "spotlight" on whatever sound you are hearing. Every sound is emphasized appearing to give more information or definition than usual, which adds more focus and enjoyment. None of my other headphones have this spotlight effect, and this in my opinion is what makes the Masters truly special. This spotlight is generally reduced the further the ears are from the driver with other aftermarket pads. This isn't to say that other pads sound worse, just that the stock pads have a special quality about them. While the stock pads are special, they do have a few downsides. There is some slight left and right compression for all sounds, the sound stage has a hard limit where it can sound boxed in, occasionally the treble can be a little pitchy on poorly recorded songs, and the ears rest on the driver where the dual deflector fins (DDF) will often poke you.

Stock Vegan: Similar sound to the stock leather, but warmer and darker to the point that some of the detail is obscured. These pads push the ear away from the DDF a little adding a little bit of comfort, but they are stiffer than the leathers so it's a little give and take. Still sounds great though, and are certainly a valid option for those looking for more warmth at the expense of some detail.

Aftermarket Pads:
All of the best aftermarket pads have tradeoffs, but the end result may be better for your taste depending on what you are looking for. All pads were tested for comfort & sound, but not usually heat. I'm not sensitive to heat around the ears, so that couldn't be tested. All pads are installed with the seams down, aligned with the cable.

My Favorite, Better Than Stock:

BRAINWAVZ XL Pleather Round Memory Foam Earpads:
Large, they look like they shouldn't fit on the Masters but oh they certainly do. Sound stage goes wide open, absolutely huge in all directions. Tone is a warm neutral and exceptionally balanced. Detail is everywhere due to the extreme instrument placement, and yet the spotlight effect is still there despite the size. I think the difference here is that the pads are so large that they contour to your head and allow your ears to get near the driver, giving you a placement that is neither too close or far. Great with all music, TV, and games. EDM is still enjoyable even with the warmth due to the huge stage and balance of the sound. Downsides are that despite being 30mm deep the tips of my ears still touch the DDF. It's not uncomfortable for me, it's just enough to let me know the DDF is still there. Bass is less controlled from stock, but not to the point of boomyness. The warmth may also not be ideal for some, but it's just enough to make everything sound rich without obscuring detail. Sound placement is a little further out compared to stock, so not ideal for those looking for an intimate stage. The tradeoffs are well worth it to me compared to stock. These are probably never leaving my Masters.

Left: the Masters with the XL Pads. Right: Pulse with the stock pads. Yes, they are big.

Runner Ups: These Pads are Comparable in Quality to the Stock Leathers, Just with Different Attributes:

BRAINWAVZ Oval Sheepskin Earpads (not angled): Also at 30MM deep, but with a smaller opening. The ears are entirely off the drivers, the tone goes to perfectly clear neutral, the sound stage is opened up, and the sound becomes almost holographic. The stage isn't quite as large or open as the XL pads, but it is wide enough to be comparable to the Arya's. Works well with all music types, TV, and games. Doesn't have the warmth of the XL pads. While this sounds great, the downsides are that the sound is pushed out a little too much for my liking, there is less detail compared to the stock leathers & XL, and bass control is reduced. With the detail reduction some instruments can sound slightly etched, but it's not overly offensive. For those that don't want leather there is also a PU Leather variant of this pad that sounds almost as good. The PU leather is the same sound but darker with less bass control (there is some bloom). Overall the PU Ovals are a bit less fun, but still a valid option as a different sound flavor.

BRAINWAVZ PU Leather Round Earpads: Similar to the XL's but with smaller ear opening which keeps your ears entirely off the driver. The pad shape is very similar to stock, and with a lot of the stock sound is retained compared to the Ovals which change the sound entirely. The overall tone is darker than neutral, a bit moresoe than the stock vegans, but still with good treble response where there is enough contrast to make the sound enjoyable. Since the pads are deeper the stage opens up, and sound compression is eliminated. Not quite as open as the Oval or XL's though. Sounds great with instruments due to some of the added warmth. It's a very well balanced sound as long as you are ok with a slightly darker tone. Downsides is that the round shape of the pads may cause your ears to touch the insides of the pads, detail and bass control go down due to the pad depth, and as stated the tone is darker than neutral. While they sound great, they don't work as well with EDM compared to other pads.

Dekoni Platinum Memory Foam for ATH-M50X: Having the same pad depth as stock the sound is similar to the stock leathers. You could say this is a 3rd variant of the stock sound where the overall tone is warmer than the stock leathers, but clearer than the stock vegans. Treble is ever so slightly increased over the stock leathers. Bass control is excellent, sometimes being even better than the stock leathers. Detail is comparable with a little give and take. Great dynamics and engagement. Downsides is that your ears are still on the driver. Due to the plushness of the pads they do seem to take the edge off of the DDF poking into you, but my ears do still touch the DDF and driver. Since the comfort issues are still potentially there, this is probably best suited for those that are looking to replace their stock pads without paying full price for a genuine replacement. This is also a good choice for those that want a little more warmth from the stock sound while keeping most of the stock qualities.

Great sounding pads in their own way, but didn't make the top 4. All have some issues but still sound good:

Aurivor Replacement Ear-Pads Cushions for ATH MSR7 M50X: A great budget pick. These sound smooth and perfectly liniear across the entire range. The stage is a little larger compared to stock, compression is reduced, and your ears are entirely off the driver. They are surprisingly comfy too. Downsides is that the sound is pushed out a little, and the instrument separation is worse compared to stock due to the smoothing of the sound. This leads to a more boring sound. Too boring for me to use long term, but I'm still surprised at how good these are.

BRAINWAVZ Angled PU Leather Oval Ear Pads: Similar comfort to the other Oval Brainwavz, just angled. The sound is actually quite good with good treble response, a great stage, clear tonality, and good details. The sound is almost a mix of the Oval sheepkins and the Oval non angled PU leathers. Didn't make it into the top 4 as there is some sound compression compared to the other oval options (worse than stock), stage width is slightly less than the other Ovals, and there's a feeling that a bit of the upper mids to lower treble is recessed compared to the rest of the sound. Still sounds great once your ears adjust to them though.

Yaxi StPad2: These pads have faux leather on one side and Alcantara on the other. Due to that the sound can be changed dramatically by rotating the pads to face the Alcantara in different positions. My favorite is Alcantara in front of the ears, which takes all of the warmth away from the headphone. Somehow the mids and the rest of the range are unaffected, it's just a neutral sound without any warmth. Great dynamics, bass hits like a V shape, and yet the mids are still there. Downsides is that there's no warmth (of course), and the comfort is just as bad if not worse than stock. The pad depth is the same as stock and your ears are directly on the driver & DDF. Moving the Alcantara to other spots can increase warmth by varying amounts, but overall you will always have some variant of a clear sound, close placement, and some of the bass thickness is removed.

Dekoni Elite Fostex T50RP: Comfy as your ears are entirely off the driver. The Sound changes dramatically depending on where the pads are placed on the ear cups. The sound changes from treble happy & thin, to overly warm. There is a perfect inbetween where the stage opens up, the tone is clear and neutral, and the sound is fantastic. In the right spot the sound may be nearly as good as the XL's, the problem is the pads are so large that they slide freely on the cups. It's difficult to get the sound right on these as it's always changing. Not ideal due to the sound variations.

ZMF Sony + ATH Sub Pads: V shape, super V shape while keeping most of the stock sound. If you've ever wanted a super refined HFI-580 then these pads will accomplish that. Great dynamics, good stage, bass slams hard, voices are compressed, and the mids are entirely sucked out.

SOULWIT PU Leather Earpads for ATHM50X: Warm and smooth with more sound stage depth compared to stock. Comfy with the ears entirely off the driver. Downsides is that the sound stage gets pushed forward towards the front (less left/right) which makes the overall sound a bit weird. Still sounds mostly good though.

Pads that don't work.

Dekoni Elite Sheepskin ATHM50X: Boomy, uncontrolled, and thick

ZMF Oval Pads, Protein Leather: Front thick side forward is very canny. Thick to the back is decent as long as you ensure a good seal around the ear. Decent sound, but darker and not as clear as it should be. Quite hot around the ears despite feeling comfy at first. These pads could have gone into the 'great' section above, but the heat of the pads along with the "decent" sound is enough to say that these just aren't ideal versus other options.

Yaxi Fix90: Compressed, a little darker, and inward in tone (almost muffled). Shallow with DDF issues.

Wicked WC PadZ: Boomy, sometimes muddy, and just generally wonky. The warmth can be nice in some songs, but mostly it doesn't work. Doesn't ever seal properly around the ears.

Meze 99 Stock Pads: Thicker sounding than stock, lacking the fun factor. Otherwise sound and comfort is similar to stock. No reason to use these over stock.

Tranesca Angled Leather Pads: Distant, odd.

BRAINWAVZ PU Leather Oval Perforated: Very airy to a fault. Lacks impact. Requires you turn the volume way up due to sound leakage. Near perfect tone and tuning though, just not ideal with how airy it sounds.

BRAINWAVZ Velour Oval for ATHM50X: Lean and bright to a fault. Good stage though.

BRAINWAVZ Velour Hybrid Oval for ATHM50X (Velour + PU Leather): Major sound leakage, very thin sounding in all aspects.

BRAINWAVZ Prostock for ATH M50X: Boomy and without any dynamics.

PRO 480. No nic.

Spróbuj zmieścić 7 centymetrów moich uszu wraz z obrąbkiem helisy do pada o średnicy ~6 centymetrów.

(Pioneer HRM7 dają radę, bo są większe i głębsze).
