SoundMAGIC E10

Obudowa E10 to 4 osobne metalowe elementy połączone specjalnym mechanizmem.

Blimey, what a treat these little in-ears are. For a start they look like they are worth way more than £35, thanks to a metal casing that looks snazzy in any of the three finishes. They punch well above their weight in sound quality too… these are exceptional for the money, and the new affordable choice for those looking to upgrade those bundled buds.

Impressive but affordable upgrade from your standard issue Apple earphones. The E10 is a lightweight set of earphones available in four colours… The overall design is stylish; the body is made from metal and the jack plug is robust. In terms of audio quality, the E10 has fairly strong bass and, for those upgrading from Apple's earphones, sound in a whole other league; especially considering the price. If you’re thinking about buying a new set of earphones to replace the standard issue iPod ones, SoundMAGIC’s E10 is definitely worth considering.

In short, this is a great pair of earphones and at £34.99 they're not going to break the bank. We were particulary impressed with the audio quality and the bass response, while the slick design and colour options, along with the handy cable clip also add to the package…The Soundmagic E10 are certainly worth considering if you're on the lookout for a reasonably priced pair of quality earphones that will block out the majority of background noise without costing too many of your hard-earned pennies.

7.5 out of 10

All in all, the SoundMAGIC E10′s are a worthwhile purchase for anyone that uses headphones for an extended period of time. They sound good, they’re very comfortable and at £35 they aren’t going to break the bank. They should also last quite a while, looking at their design and construction, so they may work out better value than buying the cheapest set of headphones you can find.

After reading some glowingly positive initial reviews our expectations were pretty high, yet the E10’s still managed to impress. Sound quality is brilliantly sharp and bristling with detail so whatever you put through them, be it Mastodon or Wilhelm Richard Wagner, sounds truly alive - just as it should…

Even more so when you compare the price of the E10’s to some of the competition, such as the Phonak Audéo PFE 012 Earphones (£100), Grado GR10 Earphones (£300+) and, of course, our old favourites, the V-Moda Cross Fades, which pretty much match any of the above on sound quality in our opinion - well, maybe not the Grado GR10s but nothing’s perfect…

Overall we love these headphones. The price is right, the sound is great and the build quality is second-to-none. What more could you want?

Editors Choice Award

Well, here’s the deal: all things considered, the E10’s overall frequency response is pretty close to that of my favorite IEMs, the Earsonics SM3. I wouldn’t have thought to hear something similarly tuned to those $400 phones in the sub-$50 price segment. Clarity and attack speeds of the E10 can’t of course quite match a top notch multi-armature driver design, but for a dynamic driver they’re very good, no matter what price range we’re talking about…

It’s amazing what sound one can get nowadays for a price less than a dinner for two costs. It’s getting harder to justify buying high priced IEMs when quality gear like the Soundmagic E10 are available for less than 50 bucks…

I can really recommend the Soundmagic E10 if one’s looking for a natural, dynamic, non-fatiguing sound signature. They provide honest, effortless reproduction of audio material. To me, that is more important in the long run than them being initially ‘exciting’ in one aspect or another. The E10 are definitely worth their money, and then some… Just for reminding me of my beloved SM3 in several aspects they deserve an Editor’s Choice award.
